Road measurements

The technology of road traffic measurements, like the work of traffic engineering itself, is a typically interdisciplinary topic: it requires comprehensive knowledge from basic mathematical statistics to classical electrotechnical measurement technology to estimation methods used in modern control technology. The book describes the tools and methods that can be used to monitor road traffic with concrete practical examples. On the one hand, the volume is a gap-filling, road measurement textbook that is the result of many years of research and expert work. On the other hand, it is a curriculum for Hungarian transport and vehicle engineering students. The authors are lecturers and researchers of the Department of Transport and Vehicle Management, BUTE.
