Cannon fillings

With the volume Cannon Fillings, a new series by Leo Kessler is introduced, in which three rebel soldiers of the Fourth Grenade Regiment play an important role: enthusiastic young people who are made a random hero by their role in Hitler’s war. Karl Carstens, Steven Doepgen ("Ami") and the Polish-speaking Prussian "Polack" don't even know each other until they're enlisted in their new regiment against their will. They all have good reason to hate the Nazi splendor and cruelty that the brown uniform symbolizes and enter into an alliance against their common enemies among the grenades. The chief among these 'Bull' is the king ', the chief of the regiment kitchen, where the three rebels are assigned to continuous service. And "Bull" is the one who makes sure they are sent to the front line in the attack on the French. The three grenades thus suddenly find themselves in the moving camp kitchen of "Bull" - a metal soup maker that will make them the heroes of the day before the battle is over. Leo Kessler has never written about more lovable - and less likely - heroes.
